Coaching for Excellence: Gilead LATAM

Progressive organizations never settle for the basic measurements of success. They are constantly seeking excellence and unprecedented growth in all levels. This is one element that has differentiated Gilead over the past years and made the firm one of the superpowers in the world of medicine and innovative sciences. And that’s where Fit for Life usually comes in, to add value on every dimension and with untraditional progressive approaches. Beginning of 2021, we started an exciting and most rewarding journey with the Latin America leadership team for Gilead.  The project launched with online leadership alignment. Workshops, with the team setting the standards for business life and the sought cultural model in the newly established LATAM region. Following the initial alignment, our top business consultant and senior executive coach Professor Khaled Habib conducted a series of biweekly intensive business coaching sessions with every country and functional leader. The sessions would cover the following dimensions: strategy, operations, people, issues, priorities, white space and all the way to personal motivation and passion triggers. The project went on for 4 months, with every leader securing benefits in different means on various and specifically tailored areas and interests. And the model was significantly proactive and action/ results oriented, where every session would start with review of outcomes from previous work, then end with call to action and alignment on next steps. The outcomes were quite impressive, with the region successfully and comfortably achieving the set targets in a most difficult COVID- struck year, and every leader, especially the newly appointed ones, enjoying a seamless fitting into the role and the new local/ regional environment. Furthermore, the regional leadership enjoyed a wealth of insights on the organization, individual leader’s capabilities, and potentials, as well as overall recommendations on continuous improvement and operational excellence. Another project with a unique design and fruitful outcomes, proud of our partnership with Gilead.
